The Establishing Shot: FIRST STILL FROM A DANGEROUS METHOD

Viggo Mortensen and Michael Fassbender star in director David Cronenberg's adaptation of Christopher Hampton's play detailing the deteriorating relationship between Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung as they contend with a particularly troubled patient. Carl Jung (Fassbender), a disciple of Sigmund Freud (Mortensen), is using Freudian techniques to treat Russian-Jewish psychiatric patient Sabina Spielrein (Keira Knightley) at Burghölzli Mental Hospital. But the deeper Jung's relationship with Spielrein grows, the further the burgeoning psychiatrist and his highly respected mentor drift apart. As Jung struggles to help his patient overcome some pressing paternal issues, disturbed patient Otto Gross (Vincent Cassel) sets out to test the boundaries of the doctor's professional resolve. Meanwhile, Jung and Freud's continued sessions with Spielrein lead to a series of profound breakthroughs in the methods that doctors use to treat their patients.

In a bold new feature version of Jane Eyre, director Cary Joji Fukunaga (Sin Nombre) and screenwriter Moira Buffini (Tamara Drewe) infuse a contemporary immediacy into Charlotte Brontë's timeless, classic story. Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) and Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds) star in the iconic lead roles of the romantic drama, the heroine of which continues to inspire new generations of devoted readers and viewers.

In the 19th Century-set story, Jane Eyre (played by Ms. Wasikowska) suddenly flees Thornfield Hall, the vast and isolated estate where she works as a governess for Adèle Varens, a child under the custody of Thornfield's brooding master, Edward Rochester (Mr. Fassbender). The imposing residence -- and Rochester's own imposing nature -- have sorely tested her resilience. With nowhere else to go, she is extended a helping hand by clergyman St. John Rivers (Jamie Bell of Focus Features' The Eagle) and his family. As she recuperates in the Rivers' Moor House and looks back upon the tumultuous events that led to her escape, Jane wonders if the past is ever truly past...

Aged 10, the orphaned Jane (played by Amelia Clarkson) is mistreated and then cast out of her childhood home Gateshead by her cruel aunt, Mrs. Reed (Golden Globe Award winner Sally Hawkins). Consigned to the charity school Lowood, Jane encounters further harsh treatment but receives an education and meets Helen Burns (Freya Parks), a poor child who impresses Jane as a soulful and contented person. The two become firm friends. When Helen falls fatally ill, the loss devastates Jane, yet strengthens her resolve to stand up for herself and make the just choices in life.

As a teenager, Jane arrives at Thornfield. She is treated with kindness and respect by housekeeper Mrs. Fairfax (Academy Award winner Judi Dench). Jane's interest is piqued by Rochester, who engages her in games of wit and storytelling, and divulges to her some of his innermost thoughts. But his dark moods are troubling to Jane, as are strange goings-on in the house -- especially the off-limits attic. She dares to intuit a deep connection with Rochester, and she is not wrong; but once she uncovers the terrible secret that he had hoped to hide from her forever, she flees, finding a home with the Rivers family. When St. John Rivers makes Jane a surprising proposal, she realizes that she must return to Thornfield -- to secure her own future and finally, to conquer what haunts both her and Rochester.

The Establishing Shot: SHOOTING STARTS ON GOOD VIBRATIONS

GOOD VIBRATIONS is currently in production and is shooting on location for 5 weeks in Belfast and the Republic of Ireland. GOOD VIBRATIONS is financed by BBC Films, Bord Scannán na hÉireann/Irish Film Board, Northern Ireland Screen, BBC Northern Ireland, Immaculate Conception Films, Matador Pictures and Cinema One. The film is a Canderblinks Film & Music, Revolution Films and Treasure Entertainment production. The Works is handling international sales.

GOOD VIBRATIONS is the story of Belfast music legend Terri Hooley. The film stars Richard Dormer in the title role (Five Minutes of Heaven), Jodie Whittaker (One Day), Liam Cunningham (Hunger), Dylan Moran (A Cock and Bull Story) and Adrian Dunbar (The Crying Game).

The GOOD VIBRATIONS key creative team hail from Northern Ireland including husband and wife directing team Lisa Barros D’Sa and Glenn Leyburn (Cherrybomb). With a script by writers Colin Carberry and Glenn Patterson, it is being produced by Andrew Eaton (The Trip) and Chris Martin (Peacefire). David Holmes (Ocean's Eleven) is also on the producing team and will provide the score.

Terri Hooley (Dormer) is a radical, rebel and music-lover in 1970s Belfast. When the bloody conflict known as the Troubles shuts down his city; his friends take sides and take up arms, or leave the country. But Terri decides to open a record shop on the most bombed half-mile in Europe and call it Good Vibrations. It’s a gesture of defiance - but it seems no-one cares. The shop begins to attract a motley band of mouthy kids with a love of loud music and nowhere else to go: Belfast punks. When Terri hears the punk bands play, he hears the lost spirit of his city. Terri has found a mission. He needs to get this music and this energy heard in an outside world that’s written off Belfast. With these bands, he has a shot at resurrecting the city he loves, through the most powerful force he knows: music. Terri and his young punk protégés struggle against the myriad dark forces of the Troubles, and Terri’s own particular urge toward self-destruction, in a bid to create an alternative Ulster, to bring Belfast back to life.
