Unlucky Numbers
The first film, originally titled Flight 180, was based on a concept originally written as a unfilmed script for The X-Files. The title was changed but the number remained.

• In the first Final Destination, a bedside clock fades in from 1:00am to 180.
• In Final Destination 2, a police officer radios in an accident at mile marker 180. The number repeats again when a character is pulled out of the way of a truck, in a road work sign that says "next 180 feet."
• In Final Destination 3, a light rail train number is 081, which, reflected in the mirror is 180. In the hardware store scene, a tag that fatefully catches on a chain has UNIT 081 written on it.
• In the fourth film, The Final Destination, victims at the race track accident are seated in area 180 (as shown on a sign behind them). The number repeats in video camera footage and on the roof of a bus in the final scene.

In Final Destination, the ill-fated flight is scheduled to take off at 9:25, which is the same as the main character’s birthday (25th September). When he gets on the plane, he sits in seat I (the 9th letter of the alphabet) in row 25.

The number “666,” generally considered to be a bad omen, appears on a luggage cart in the first film and on the car that crashes at the speedway in the fourth film.

In The Final Destination, two characters go into auditorium 13 (considered an unlucky number) and to their doom.

More Strange Trivia
In the first film, the original plan was to have Death as a much more obvious entity, as illustrated when the character Tod sees a shadow in the mirror and the water running back into the toilet to “cover its tracks.” Subsequently, it was decided to have the deaths appear simply as accidents.

Death foreshadowed: During the opening credits of the first film, a hanging doll, a guillotine and a picture of a knife in someone's chest foreshadow what will soon befall the characters. One character is shadowed by a dagger in the first film, while in the second film, a character’s face fades into the outline of a skull, and yet another character unwisely ignores warnings about his eye. In Final Destination 3, two characters hear the song “Love Rollercoaster,” which refers to the rollercoaster that should have killed them.

In order to film the massive pileup sequence in Final Destination 2, several miles of highway had to be closed down for several days.

In Final Destination 3, the cast members on the rollercoaster had to ride the coaster 26 times on the same night in order to shoot the film's main premonition scene.

Tony Todd, who plays Bludworth in the first, second and fifth films, provides the voice of the devil above the entrance to the roller coaster in Final Destination 3. In that third film, he also provides the speaker's voice saying, “This is the end of the line” in the subway.

The opening titles of The Final Destination recreate death scenes from all three of the previous films. The fourth film holds the distinction of containing 11 “kills,” the most of any film in the series.

In The Final Destination, when he is hit by the bus, the character George is in the middle of stating, “My wife said that Deja Vu is like God's way of...” and then he's cut off by the impact. Some viewers wonder what the end of his sentence was going to be. The answer is that of a common expression “...telling you that you are in the right place at the right time,” hence the irony of the situation.

I Killed My Mother Trailer

"We love our mothers almost unknowingly, unconsciously, and we fully realise how deep-rooted that love is when we come to the last separation." Guy de Maupassant

Hubert Minel doesn’t love his mother. The seventeen-year-old regards her with haughty contempt, and sees only her dated sweaters, kitsch decorations and the breadcrumbs that get stuck on the corner of her lips when she munches. In addition to these irritating surface details, there are also the cherished family mechanisms of manipulation and guilt. Confused by a love/hate relationship which obsesses him more and more each day, and desperate to escape the suffocating atmosphere of his mother’s working-class, suburban home, Hubert drifts through the mysteries of an adolescence both marginal and typical: artistic discoveries, illicit experiences, the opening-up to friendship, sex, and ostracism.

The directing debut of young French-Canadian actor Xavier Dolan is a cathartic, fiercely compelling evocation of turbulent late adolescence. Visually stunning, with exquisite performances from Dolan himself – as the volatile, verbally savage Hubert – and a highly acclaimed cast including Anne Dorval and Suzanne Clément, 'I Killed My Mother' was the winner of 22 international film awards in 2009, including three categories at Cannes.

Wreckage Trailer

An automobile wrecking yard after dark provides the perfect location for a nail-biting slasher with a killer twist in Wreckage, directed by John Mallory Asher (One Tree Hill; Dirty Love) and featuring an attractive cast of young up-and-coming talent that includes Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad; Big Love; The Last House On The Left), Scoot McNairy (Monsters), Cameron Richardson (Harper’s Island; Point Pleasant), Kelly Kruger (Mysterious Skin; The Young And The Restless) and Mike Erwin (Chaos Theory).

When their car’s fan belt snaps during a drag race on a county road several miles outside their home town, best friends Jared (Erwin), Kate (Richardson), Rick (Paul), and Jessica (Kruger) find themselves stranded with two options: walk all the way back home or try their luck on finding a spare belt at a nearby scrap yard. Choosing the latter, but arriving after nightfall and finding the yard closed, they decide to climb the gate and go in search of the required part. Their situation goes from mildly inconvenient to seriously lethal in an instant when Rick’s careless horseplay with a loaded pistol leaves Kate wounded and in desperate need of medical attention.

Meanwhile, the local sheriff’s office has just received notification that a serial killer has escaped from the state prison and is thought to be hiding out somewhere in the area. Alerted to the situation at the wrecking yard by Jared, the police and ambulance crew arrive on the scene but can find no immediate sign of Rick, Jessica or the injured Kate. Moments later, the discovery of a mutilated body places Jared in the frame as the prime suspect in a murder investigation and leads to a long night of bloodshed and mayhem as a mysterious killer stalks the yard determined to slay everyone and leave no witnesses.

Release Date: On DVD 22nd August 2011.

THE ESTABLISHING SHOT:YOUTUBE VETS BRING TOGETHER FANS AND INDUSTRY CREATIVES LIKE NEVER BEFORE

Indie Filmmakers Use KICKSTARTER to Garner Start-Up Funds for Comedy Feature “SPORTS FANS”

Hollywood, CA – Indie Filmmakers Jason Horton and Adam Rudder are
creating a new breed of partnership, combining the forces of their
millions of YouTube fans and a ‘dream team’ of experts and industry
veterans to bring their buddy-comedy “SPORTS FANS” to the big screen.

With distribution already in place, Horton and Rudder are literally
turning their loyal fans, sports lovers and YouTube subscribers into
film financiers, using the crowdfunding site Kickstarter to acquire
start-up funds necessary to attach key name talent. The young
filmmakers have already created strategic industry alliances with over
40 major feature film credits under their belt to keep the project
moving and solidify the additional financing for the project.

These collaborations include Mark Koesterer and his Sports Studio
Ventures, Hollywood’s premiere consultant for scripted sports content,
which is co-owned by Jack Giarraputo’s Happy Madison Productions. Also
involved are: Mark Ellis, who has directed and coached Oscar winning
actors and Hall of Fame athletes in over 30 movies grossing more than
one billion dollars at the box office; sports agent Doug Schaer and
his Silent Partner Media (SPM), a niche, creative and strategic
marketing firm, which connects properties within the sports,
entertainment and music industries; and Dave Hickey, former Promenade
Pictures Vice President of Development and Acquisitions; and
additional key industry associations to be announced at a later date.

While other indie filmmakers have turned to the public to raise money,
none have had this many assets attached or been as ambitious. Using
this blueprint of funding and affiliations, Horton and Rudder are
trailblazing a new wave of filmmaking that could revolutionize the way
indie films are made. “We feel honored that everyone believes so much
in the project that they have agreed to come on board before we have
any money to pay them,” Rudder said.

Horton and Rudder are also working with a talented team of YouTube
heavy-hitters, including MysteryGuitarMan, Jenna Marbles, Elie
Seckbach (ESNEWS), Nikki Limo, and SupRicky06, who rake in millions of
views on their popular YouTube channels.

“Sports Fans” follows two die-hard fantasy baseball geeks as they road
trip across the country, visiting baseball’s most renowned stadiums in
search of autographs. Along the way, they untangle a love triangle and
get caught up in misadventures with major sports figures. Described as
baseball’s version of “The Hangover”, this rip-roaring road trip buddy
comedy celebrates baseball and its fan culture. One reader at a major
network said it was one of the “strongest female characters” she has
read in a long time. A major producer called it “one of the best
scripts” he has seen on his desk.

Jason Horton is an actor/writer/comedian who regularly performs sketch
and improv comedy and has been seen in over 150 million-viewed videos
on YouTube. He is a Staff Writer and content creator for Maker
Studios and continues to act in and write for popular YouTube channels
Totally Sketch & The Station. He also writes and develops for Rogue
Pictures IamRogue.com. Horton is represented by Dana Wickens (phone:
310-417-4877 / email: Dana@levityent.com).

Adam Rudder is an independent filmmaker, screenwriter and founder of
Moocha Pictures, which is the primary production company for “Sports
Fans.” Previously, Rudder served as a Production Manager for Disney’s
“Oceans,” the highest budgeted ‘natural film’ of all time, 1st AD for
the feature film “Refuge From a Storm” starring Michael Madsen,
Producer of the feature “Pushing Thirty,” and Director/Producer of a
dark-comedy web series. Before specializing in film and more recently,
social media, Rudder spent over 10 years honing his skills as an Event
Planner/Music Promoter and co-founder of the non-profit EcoAid
Productions. Rudder can be reached at: info@moochapictures.com.

“Sports Fans” is set to launch its 30-day fundraising campaign on
Kickstarter on Tuesday, August 23, 2011.
